THE IMPERFECT JUDGE
In the flesh a tendency others to judge,
All too soon to remove the speck in another’s eye,
To judge from human knowledge, frail and incomplete, Do you think with the perfect judge you can compete?
“Judge righteous judgment,” Jesus preached;
The carnal, religious one, in pride quick to criticize -
Dealt
with by God, broken and humble in heart, -
Many judgments made without every single fact,
The lesson learned: how imperfect your judgments are;
“Judge not that you be not judged,” is the kingdom’s rule;
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you;
The way of love is not to expose, but rather to cover,
“Do not pass judgment, that you may not be judged; for the way you judge you will be judged and with what yardstick you measure you will be measured”. Matt. 7:1-2 Berkeley Version By John L. Parault
