Many of the prophecies given were always calling for a change of mind — repentance. Let us look at some things.

The United States is the only country in the world that has been founded on God's Word and Jesus Christ. Israel of old was called God's chosen people, but this is the only nation in recorded history whose beginnings were rooted in Jesus Christ — the Lamb of God.

In a prophetic song in 1980, the Lord spoke of how His foundations were laid down in this country. Then He said He was going to cleanse His holy temple, and repair His nation, and all who came to meet Him would know that He was there. Awesome! He spoke of this nation as a country, and a temple.

Then I saw the United States as a huge church — a temple — from the Atlantic to the Pacific ocean, to the borders of Canada to the Gulf of Mexico and borders of Mexico. Here in the marvelous country, He gave so much. Fields of plenty, grand mountains, thriving rivers of fish, desolate deserts, all sorts of animals roaming our forests, trees heavy with fruit, His presence — a blessed country.

But, what has happened to this marvelous country over seasons of time? Idol worship, false religions, greed, lust, perversion, baby killing, taking God's name out of everything, and on and on.

The Lord spoke in 1981, He said these words, "I am going to save America in the end, but not spare her."

So, here we are in February 2003. When the shuttle, Columbia fell out of the sky the Lord spoke immediately and said, "Men did it." Another sign or woe to get the attention of the serious times we are in.

We haven't heeded the warnings! Now, in God’s eyes we are looked upon as a nation, a people that have not repented. This is not the great tribulation we are entering into, but it is God’s controversy with the United States. He has been saying, "I have given you everything, yet you have still not come to Me and repented of the evil of your ways."

We will be like an ensign to the world that shows the dealings of God with a nation. A nation that in the beginning called herself a Christian nation. A nation wherein even the churches have been defiled with many abominations.

We will begin to pray, for this surely will sustain us through these dark days ahead. And with this war in the mid-east, this will not be an easy thing to pass through. Pray, pray, pray, for the Lord has a controversy with us. And could it be that He will turn us over to the hands of our enemies as He did Israel of old, because of the stubbornness of our ways and our pride?
