THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE UNASHAMED

The Fellowship Of The Unashamed
-Anonymous
March 8, 2010

I am a part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast. The decision has been made. I have stepped over the line. I won’t look back, let up, slow up, or back away.

My past is redeemed, my present is in grace, and my future in obedience is secured. I’m finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless and dim visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don’t have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith and humility leaning on His presence, walking with patience, living by prayer, and laboring with power. My face is set, my gate is fast, and my goal is to be transformed into my Lord’s image and to know His glory. My road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my guide is reliable, my calling and mission is clear. I will not be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of persecution and sacrifice nor deny Him in the face of death, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won’t give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, laid up, prayed up, and spoken up for the gospel of Christ. I am “The disciple of Jesus Christ.” I must go until He comes; give my all. Preach till all know. And when He comes for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me. My banner is clear; I’m a marked man with His nature. I am a part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I realize He must strengthen me in my heart to walk this out, for without Him, I can do nothing.

Written by John and Rene Parault

We felt led to post this, not knowing who wrote it many years ago. It speaks volumes in this day we all live in as Christians. It speaks of a standard of living for a Christian life and becoming a true disciple in the midst of adversity. We make note of the many meetings held in these days by so many who quote the Word but do not always live the life. Money is their goal, promotions their PR work, sales of their wares their business, and high dollar admissions to enter their “shows” to hear what each of their ministries have to say, not recognizing when anything and everything they have to give is given freely by the Lord. “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (Matt. 10:8) They have forgotten the Lord and concentrate on themselves. There is such a thing as “milking the gifts” (or using the gifts for self gain) which most in the Body of Christ have no knowledge about. This is where the enemy finds a portal to deceive. And so you have ministries that have a “standard” which they themselves have built, which is not of the Lord, but has to do with their own popularity and prosperity.

Everyone who has a ministry and wants to be popular has to line up with this current standard, according to these ambitious ones. No so! Take away their gifts from the Lord, and they have nothing.

Noting also, there is no discernment from many in the Body of Christ, because of lack of true understanding of the Word. Crowds mean “truth” to many. Not so. “Truth” produces small audiences, because truth makes one accountable (and uncomfortable), and we are in the age of non-accountability. No one wants to take responsibility. It is a sign of the times we are in. So we state here that true fellowship with the Lord is a narrow and lonely walk, and few there be that find it. “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matt. 7:13-14). It is good to be part of the fellowship of the unashamed . . . Amen.
