OUR TRAVELS HONDURAS 2005
We went to Honduras in February for twelve days. What a trip and so God ordained. We first went to “The Living Stones Church” in LaLiema where we have been affiliated for 16 years. Some of the brethren there we have known for many, many years. There were three nights ministering to the church and also leadership on first, “What is a son?” Sonship was taught on what it takes to grow up and recognize what Jesus has done for us. The first night the question was “How much do you want God?” All responded enthusiastically, but soon found out the Lord wanted to bring them into a deeper understanding. The second night was the teaching from Nehemiah – “Building up the walls of the church” for that is the day we are standing in. Obedience to the Word of God will establish this. The third night was asked, “Who is qualified and positioned for what God wants to do in this hour? The condition of the heart was challenged. Also, there was preaching on the fact that hell is real. Then came the church in unison to break the curses of Honduras on adultery and promiscuity. There has to be a pure church to bring in righteousness and holiness, and then to break the curses of these things, which are rampant in the church at large. Forgiveness was ministered from Luke 6 in addressing the church to forgive those that have been cruel to them and also forgiving their enemies. What an awareness this brought to the church and the challenge to each of them from Luke 6. Changes are on the way. The Lord had us bring this message high in the mountains of Valley Bonito where some of them remember Sis. Rene over 23 years ago. The pastors cried and wept as babies, and knew that they have decisions to make. We will go back there next visit to begin to teach them how to handle the Word of God and also bring bibles with us as some of them are lacking these things. Then we went on to Tegucigalpa, the capitol, where we had not been in three years. So for three nights the church gathered in a home where we have ministered for many, many years. It was good to see old friends – some said they had sat under this ministry for 16 years. It was a delight to be with them. Each night they came from all over the city, and we noted that much healing was taking place in the inner heart. Yes, the condition of the heart again was addressed and healing was taking place inside from the deep wounds that have been there for so long. How God desires to free His people from hurts of the past. We came home tired, but satisfied that the Lord had His way in Honduras on this trip. Blessings, Pastor John and Rene Parault
