OUR TRAVELS

IONA SCOTLAND PRAYER WALK — 2000

The Lord told us in 1999 that we were to go to one of the Hebrides islands off of Scotland to an island called Iona, to walk the island, pray and blow the shofar.  We waited for the timing of the Lord, and that time came in October 2000.

The Lord said because of my Swedish heritage (Vikings) that I could, by His authority, remit the sins of my ancestors over the island.  They had invaded, killed and stolen many times for 1,000 years.  It was an awesome moment to stand on this historic island with such a profound history of early Christianity and conflicts with those who came against it.

My husband, John, was to blow the shofar for release over the island.  We took seven handmaidens from England with us for intercessors, and we prayed over the island while the rain and cold gale winds were blowing. This was a moment of perseverance.   I remitted the sins of my ancestors on three points on the island.  One was the hill of Dun (the druids sacrificed there); one was the white strands of the monks by the ocean where fifteen Celtic monks were slaughtered; and the other was the abbey.  The shofar was blown in each spot, and last in the darkened abbey.

Before blowing the shofar in that awesome moment in the dim light of the abbey, Bro. John prayed this prophetic prayer:

"Father God, at the blowing of your horn, let every fetter and every yoke, every curse and every bondage be shattered and a door opened with every good blessing and every good thing to come from the Lord. Let it travel far and wide.  Let it be a new beginning of the dimension of your spirit, a loosening of your spirit to move upon the hearts of your people in the church.  Father God, break down everything alien and contrary, though it fly's under the banner of your name.  We come to exalt you and praise you and to give you the honor and the glory due to your name.  That which began here, that was good, and everything that has taken its place, let it be removed.  And let the establishment! of the glory of God rise again.  Let is cross the continents and the oceans.  To you Oh Lord," and then John blew the shofar.

When the shofar was blown, the abbey began to light up supernaturally.  Great was the presence of the anointing.  There was a bible on a stand in the abbey next to us that was open from Isaiah 43:14-21, from which one of the sisters read.   We knew at that moment, our mission was finished.  The Lord spoke and said that the waters of revival had been released worldwide.  This was in accordance with the Celtic monk Columba in his day when he prayed that in the end of the days, everything would return to the Lord in His timing.

The strong winds ceased the next day, and we returned by ferry to the Isle of Mull.  On our bus back to our next ferry, which would take us to Oban, a double rainbow appeared across the lakes, but one of them began to move toward us.  We had never seen anything like it before. As we were traveling down this narrow road we saw the increase advancement of the rainbow towards us until it was directly in front of the bus. It was so close we could touch it.    A young Scottish woman said, "In all the years of traveling this road and seeing hundreds of rainbows, I have never seen a rainbow like this." These words still ring in our ears.

It was another sure sign - the Lord was well please.  We have all this documented on a video (the abbey) and also have pictures and written account in booklet form by one of the English sisters in the Lord.

Love to you all - Rene
