LIGHTNINGS, LIGHTNINGS, LIGHTNINGS
When we were in Belize, CA last week, John, our daughter, Darlene
the psalmist, and myself encountered such a presence of the Lord.
We were invited into the country through the World Harvest Mission
Center in Belize City, and from there on the doors opened all
over the country. There is truly a hunger for the Word of God,
and the signs and wonders followed when Bro. John gave the message
on Faith. On the second night, at the end of the ministry, the
pastor of World Harvest Mission Center invited all the pastors
from different churches up front to be ministered to. They came
up front and as we began to lay hands of them I saw something
I had not seen in 25 years – lightning coming down in streaks
above the heads of the pastors, and they began to fall down all
over the place, limp and sprawled out. There was a sound that
accompanied the lightning, just in regular lightning in the sky
– broommmmmm. This was seen and heard by others also. The Lord
spoke that the pastors would carry the impartation they received
that night back into their perspective churches and that is exactly
what happened. As we went from church to church, the power of
God was demonstrated. Much prophetic word was given and there
were demonstrations that God was present. Belize is a British
Commonwealth, and much of the mother country of England is part
of the culture. The official language is English, then English
Kriol (Creole), Spanish and a minority of Mayan Indians that speak
Mayan. It was an awesome time, and our hearts have been knit to
Belize, and we look forward to a return trip. There was a prophetic
demonstration where I poured out water across the front of the
church during a meeting, and the Lord spoke and said that there
was an open heaven and now is the time that the Holy Spirit will
begin to move upon Belize. The Lord again prophesied in Orange
Walk, that the name was changed to “Land of the Green”, the color
of green depicting life. There was a Mayan man, a direct descendent
of the Mayans, who lowered his head after a meeting and said,
“I am a sinful man”, and we prayed for him and he received the
Lord. That was the night that over a hundred received the Baptism
in Holy Spirit. Wow! What a wondrous time in Belize – and we are
going back soon!
We were also invited to go to Guatemala for a one night, where
many repented, after the message went forth, because of unforgiveness
in their lives. There we met Sonya, whose ministry is to the elderly
who have no families and lie on the streets to die. Their bodies
are then wrapped in black plastic bags and dumped into a hole.
Sonya takes the elders she finds to a building that she is renting
and cleans them, feeds them and nurses them back to health, so
when the time comes to depart from this world, they know the Lord
and with dignity they are properly buried. Darlene ministered
to these old folks in song and love and they had tears in their
eyes. How many would like the ministry of Sonya? We love our Spanish
brethren, and God keeps opening the doors to go forth! Be blessed!
