HONDURAS REPORT- DECEMBER 2007
We have just returned from our Honduras travels that took us to LaLiema, LaCeiba, and Tegucigalpa, the capitol. The message for this trip was on “Growing in Living Faith”, and the impact on each congregation was certainly evident, along with the personal prophecies that went along with the ministry to the body of Christ. I have been learning along the way to carry a small tape recorder with me and record each personal prophecy and give it out immediately; it is really a blessing to all. We started out in LaLiema among friends in the Church called “The Living Stones.” There were two sessions, and the message was on living faith and holiness. We have known these brethren for many years, and the Holy Spirit truly began to move there. We then went south to LaCeiba, to be with the Kyros Ministries, where we also have ministered for many years. We have net-worked with the Kyros Ministries, and they are teaching many things we have imparted through the Holy Spirit. We had ten meetings in five days, and each meeting was awesome. While preaching to married couples one night, there was the prophetic act of opening the main door of the room where everyone was and the presence of the Lord rushed in like the wind, although there was no wind. It was though the Lord was standing outside, and when the door opened He entered in. The people there almost fell off their chairs. We were all in awe. God reunited some of them, strengthened many of them, and that anointing that came in did something wondrous in the midst of the 250 of them. People kept saying to us “when are you coming back?” We shall certainly return to Honduras as John and Rene (and Darlene) have been interwoven with Honduras for many years.
One morning before a Kyros service, we were told a family wanted to see us, for their son had been kidnapped (age 16). He had been gone over a month and a great sum of ransom money had been paid, but no son thus far. The parents and three grown sons were very devastated when they came in. We heard the news was on television and given coverage all over the country. As we ministered to them I (Rene) received a word of knowledge concerning part of the tragedy, which we divulged to them. What we did not know when we were through ministering, was that these young men (five brothers) are all part of International Soccer Teams over in Europe and England, and of course Honduras. They are well known. One of the brothers at the moment was playing soccer in England. The ministry of living faith went on in service, and then the family came up and the whole church ministered to them. So much love was evident. At the end, all looked more at peace, and the mother marched up front and said loudly, “We are so glad for Apostle John and Rene ministering to us and I want you to know, whether I see my son again or not, I will not lose faith in God.” This statement was profound; and blessed us to no end. I will never forget it.
In LaCeiba after one service a young man come up to me and said I (Rene) had prophesied to him three years ago that he would minister to nations, and his name would be changed to Joshua. He said at the time he did not understand it all~but today he is employed on a Caribbean Cruise ship and has met people from all over the world. He has testified to the crews, many who have received Jesus and come from different countries and has even church services on the ship. “Now I understand the prophecy”, he said.
In Tegucigalpa, we had meetings for three nights with home groups that were closely knit together. Again, the message of living faith came forth that began to change lives and some confessed of the hidden sin in their lives after the messages. As the Word went forth others fell down on the floor under the power of the Holy Spirit. It was there in Tegucigalpa we heard that one of our close friends, anointed of God and pastor of the home groups, has made the decision to run for president. We stand with him, for he is well equipped, and loves the Lord Jesus. In this report, we could go on and on concerning the goodness of the Lord, but we have come back to the mountains to prepare for Africa.
