We
Prayed and the Fog Lifted.....
“The beginning of this ministry around 1981 thrust me (Rene)
into the President’s home because he had heard that there was
a prophetic voice that came into the nation of Honduras. The Lord
prophesied to him, and he recorded it as I spoke through an interpreter.
President Roberto Cordova then moved on the words from the Lord
and called Honduras on Oct. 31st to observe a day of fasting and
repentance. These words coming from the presidential office carried
a mighty weight. How Honduras has been blessed since that time
until now for many preachers, teachers, prophets, ministries,
supplies, doctors, nurses, foods, and helps of all kinds have
poured into her. The Lord heard the national cry of repentance
and moved to bless her poor, hungry and needy over the years.”
But years of ministry have passed, and we are told again by the
Lord to speak forth a call of repentance to this nation; and this
we have just done.
WE PRAYED AND THEN THE FOG LIFTED....
This is what happened at the end of our trip going out of Honduras,
where we had been ministering for 12 days. The fog was all over
the airport in Tegucigalpa, and we were to fly back to the states
that Friday Nov. 18th, 2005. “ Lord, we have done all that you
said for us to do on this trip, now what?” for we knew if there
was no clearance for the plane to land, we would be there for
another few days. So we prayed and prayed and prayed, and then
the fog lifted and the plane successfully came down the runway
in this second attempt. Praise the Lord; we were able to leave
to come back home.
This trip into Honduras was very important, and we knew it. This
was again, bringing our trips into Honduras to a total of 24 years
of ministry service there. There were three of us going this time,
John and myself and our daughter Darlene with her guitar. Before
we left the states, we inquired of the Lord, what would be the
thrust of the message to bring down there this time? He then quickened
within us His Holy Spirit and we knew this was the time to bring
the cry of the Lord unto the people of Honduras to fast, repent,
pray and praise Him, and present themselves before Him. The Lord
made it clear to us that His people all over were so busy with
their church duties and services that they had forgotten to come
to Him and to hear His voice. Too busy to pray, too busy to be
quiet before Him, too busy to get direction from Him, just too
busy doing works but not the works He wanted from them. His instruction
was that He wanted a corporate gathering each night, until He
specified what He wanted, and He would begin these gatherings
and would end them. In other words, this was to be a time of complete
absorption in the Lord. He was waiting for such a thing as this
from His people. He also let us know, that this would be a sacrifice
for the people, for they would have to deny themselves, and make
Him first. Something they were not accustomed doing. But, is it
really such a sacrifice, when the results would be revival and
revelation of the glory of the Lord. Yes, He said He would manifest
Himself in such glory, and this is what it would take for the
revival to come. Clean hands and a pure heart, and to get aligned
with the Lord in all that He wants from His people. He wants a
people that will demonstrate His character and love and mercy
and kindness and forgiveness. He truly wants a people who are
demonstrating the change within them giving themselves to the
Lord completely. Not the compromise that is in the church today
–but a genuine change of character, and walking in the Holy Spirit
where there is life and life abundantly.
We went from church to church, city to city, to the mountains
as the Lord prophesied, and pleaded with His people: “Come
to Me, He cried, and come apart and sit before Me, and I will
speak to you and heal you.” The response began among many
of the churches for they had come to know and respect us over
the years and Praise God, they listened. In one particular church
when they washed their hands and faces in bowls of water in front
of the church as a prophetic act of cleansing, they began to fall
down in the spirit, and wept as the Holy Spirit moved upon them.
Brethren, this was genuine and this was real. Bro. John preached
and taught on holiness those days and nights and it was awesome,
and our daughter Darlene sang in Spanish and ministered to so
many through her music. We thank you Lord for all that you did
and we feel all was accomplished!
Since we returned we received this e-mail from
one of the churches: Nov. 23, 2005
Dear John and Rene:
My wife and I are pastoring a church at San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
My sister and my wife, who attend the Ministry School there from
MUNA at LaLiema, met you the night that you had participation
there. That night the Holy Spirit spoke through you about forty
days of fasting and prayer of repentance.
We would like you to know that we openly received the word from
God and are fasting and praying according to the instruction given
by the Holy Spirit. We also invited other congregations we have
at LaCeiba, Comayagua, and Tegucigalpa to do the same. At the
same time we are doing away with church programs, and leaving
it all to the Holy Spirit. (We have handed the command over to
him.)
We bless you and thank you for being instrumental in God’s hands
in obeying His voice and carrying His truth and revelation throughout
the world. God bless you abundantly.
